Guidelines
Leaf and Stick Pick-Ups
Effective January 1, 2023
The LTPOA Board of Directors has approved the following guidelines for the timing, location, and type of debris piles created by property owners for scheduled pick-ups:
- Property owners shall maintain responsibility for yard waste disposal between pick-ups and may not develop piles of yard debris along the road or in cul-de-sacs prior to three (3) weeks before scheduled pick-ups
- Locations shall be along the roadside and the following:
- Recreation Area parking lot at the termination of Creek Course hole 15 cart path*
- Termination of Daquiri Turn cart path near the swimming pool*
- Cart path between Bourbon Street lots 3064 and 3065
- Locations shall not be in front of mailboxes such that it impedes USPS delivery
- Locations shall not be in ditches or in roadways
- Debris piles should be placed in front of houses and cul-de-sacs as close as possible to the road's edge and on the road side edge of any ditch in order to allow access by removal equipment
- Piles of sticks and branches shall not be taller than five (5) feet
- Debris shall consist of ONLY leaves for the scheduled leaf pick-up and ONLY sticks and branches for stick/branch pick-ups, and shall not contain pinecones, pine straw, tree trunks or other debris
- Care should be taken to locate debris such that it will not impede water flow in ditches and culverts
